In their elementary school orchestra Jon played trumpet and Andy played guitar. It turned out that the trumpet was not destined to be Jon's instrument. In High School Jon picked up the guitar and played in several local rock and roll bands. Through a mutual friend, he met Dave in college. Jon and Andy met up again in Medical School, shared instruments and played together occasionally. After graduation they began playing together on  regular basis and took their first serious gig in St Croix. That same year at a Dan Fogelberg concert, Jon introduced Andy to Dave and a trio was formed. They got together regularly and mostly played for fun, friends, and occasional gigs. When they decided to have a rock and roll rhythm section, Jon switched to bass guitar (which he loves) and the band added a drummer.
